Momservation: Being the parent of a preschooler means you mumble in your sleep, “No job is too big, no pup is too small!”
☺ ☺ ☺
When you have preschool age children you thank the Gods of Diversionary Tactics and Peace and Quiet when something comes along that will absorb your kids’ attention for at least 30 minutes.
Monuments of gratitude have been built to Legos. Bronze sculptures dedicated to Thomas the Tank Engine. Elmo has an open invitation to dinner anytime. I, personally, still burn incense at the altar of Sanity for Bob the Builder and Dora the Explorer—I consider my lingering uncontrollable outbursts of “Can we fix it? Yes we can!” and “Lo Hicimos, Boots!” a small price to pay for helping me through the preschool years.
Well, there’s a new sheriff in town for our young preschool set and his name is Chase. Actually, he comes with a whole slew of sanity saving characters. Parents of young children everywhere are throwing gratitude parades for the pooches of PAW Patrol.
For those of you who have long ago gotten rid of the Bob the Builder and Dora the Explorer underwear from your laundry pile, PAW Patrolis a CG-animated, action-adventure preschool series starring a pack of six heroic pups led by a tech-savvy boy named Ryder. With a team of rescue-themed pups saving the day through teamwork, bravery and humor, the program delivers more than parent-approved life lessons through the pups’ playful misadventures—it delivers a well-need break every time it comes on.
And guess what?! Parents of preschoolers in the Sacramento area who are going stir crazy trying to keep their kids entertained this summer just got a Get Out of Jail Free card! Because on July 19, characters from the popular children’s animated series PAW Patrol, which airs on Nickelodeon, will roll into the California State Fair on Kids’ Day as part of this summer’s PAW Patrol Road Tour!
That’s right! On the next Kids’ Day (July 19) when kids 12 and under get in free to the California State Fair and rides are only $2 for everyone, PAW Patrol will be in the house!
The fully interactive tour features an 18-wheel semi-truck PAW Patroller which opens to reveal a life-sized PAW Patrol Headquarters through which kids can walk. Within the PAW Patroller experience there are interactive games, a life-sized Lookout Tower (with working periscopes) and a slide to take kids on to the next mission. The tour includes activations featuring two new segments launching this fall – Jungle Rescue and Roll Patrol. PAW Patrol fans can take photos in the Jungle area featuring the new pup tracker, and then ride on life-size Roll Patrol racers around a track and finish their day by taking a photo with PAW Patrol pups – Chase, Marshall, Skye and Rubble.
But wait! There’s more! If you’re the first person to give me the names of the other 2 PAW Patrol main pack that wasn’t mentioned above you will be a true super hero to your kids and win a PAW Patrol Prize pack that includes:
PAW Passes, which entitles VIP entrance for 6 inside the PAW Patrol Road Tour experience and PAW Patrol toys!
Yes, as parents of preschoolers, THIS is what we get excited for. Knuckles.
